I was watching the SoI series through and I got to Granny Bacon's Funeral. Normally, I skip over this and the Verigan Special because they are not that relevant to the plot. But this time I decided to let it play through and went to check my email and other things like that. And around 11:26 in the video time, I hear Xephos say this:
"Knight_Peculier seems to be like immune to the effects of lava, did you see? He just like dipped in it and just didn't get... he's got some sort of power."
So I go back and watch, and at 11:23ish video time I see KP jump, miss the platform, and take a nice swim in the lava. Now I know that this isn't solid proof that KP survived the lava in Part 38: The Hand, nor do I believe that KP's "death" and possible resurrection was even on the plans for the SoI series at the time of Granny Bacon's Funeral. My theory is whoever played KP at the time (probs Duncan?) was op'ed and had a creative mode (if it was even around then) or something similar on from a mod. This video came out on March 22, 2011 and Part 38: The Hand where KP "dies" was uploaded on April 15, 2012. It doesn't seem really believable to think they threw in foreshadowing to an episode that probably isn't done yet over a year before KP died, and over 2 years before he may or may not come back. But hint to the Yogscast, it would be pretty clever if you did... or even pretended like you planned that to happen.
But if you want to watch the video I will post it down here. And the link below that takes you to 11:23 on the video, so you don't have to fast forward if you don't want to.

Ohh though... I doubt that that has any connection, I still doubt KP is dead, for different reasons.
ReplyDeleteMostly because that would be... (to put it simply "lame") bad plot design.... for a long hard to explain reason. I know everything about KP *snort*, he's my favorite character. ^^
I really think it's because of the some inconsistencies in the story line such as this, and many others(which I noticed back then, but forgot since it's been a long time), that they decided to delay SoI so they could think of a much legit way of satisfying these inconsistencies.
ReplyDeleteLets be honest - Lewis knows mainly is going on and what is going to happen. I genuinely think that it wasn't meant to happen and that Lewis or Simon were meant to take the broken track, or that the track had accidently been broken (creeper?) Because a: Lewis was REALLY surprised! and b: Knight Peculiar was like one of the main characters! What's the point of even trying to find Daisy anymore if Knight Peculiar is dead. Maybe that's why they ended the series...
